Types of Snoring

A combination of or either one of two factors can cause snoring. The tongue relaxing and falling back into the throat against the uvula and obstructing the airway most often causes snoring. Blocked nasal passages also may cause snoring.

What’s known as Primary Snoring, which is just Simple Snoring, is really just noisy breathing when the person is sleeping. It can cause complaints from anyone in close proximity to a person snoring loudly, who is awakened out of their sleep in the middle of the night. The sufferer may also awaken with a dry mouth.

Primary Snoring is also known as “cutting zee’s”, “sawing wood”, noisy snoring, etc. Primary snoring is just Simple Snoring, making loud sounds during sleep without episodes of apnea.
